Carlton demolished Roam 8 - 0 on Saturday.  Marlon "Gilbert" Headley with a hat-trick and Andre "Spicey" Leslie with a brace.  Marc Alleyne, Renaldo "Brazilian" Waithe and Kevin "Chops" Scott each scored one.

Roam were outplayed from the start Carlton racking up 23 shots to Roam's 2.  It only took 98 seconds for “Gilbert” to open the scoring receiving a pass in the 18 yard box from Shane Vaughn on his left “Gilly” slotted the ball bottom left for his first goal of the match.  “Spicey” then curled a corner kick into the hapless Roam keeper’s goal in the 19th minute. 

Headley got his second in the 27th minute, a spectacular volley to the top left corner from a Renaldo Waithe corner and three minutes later repaid Waithe with an assist allowing
the “Brazilian” an easy one-on-one with the Roam keeper and his 3rd goal of the season.  Headley got his hat-trick after a keeper error and raised his tally of goals for the season to 12 in both league and knock out competitions.  An amazing rate of 1.3 goals per game.

Marc Alleyne raised his own season tally to 5 goals with help from Captain Dwayne Marshall on 65 minutes.  Not wanting to be left behind, “Spicey” also got his 5th for the season and second for the match when he stole the ball from the Roam defense and slotted home.

The eighth goal, could be described as the best of the match after “Chops” took a high ball down with his chest just outside the Carlton ‘D’ moved through 3 Roam players like a knife through butter then laid off to Ashikio “Sheep” Graham, averting two oncoming Roam defenders,  for the perfect return pass to be curled around the oncoming keeper.  Chops’ first goal this season was one for a training video.
